Cos..i was fortunate enough to be invited to a private lunch with the Chicago Traders tomorrow after their talk. Quite a few people have been asking me about them and whether I got the job. And the answer is i dunno.

I don't think they've done their recruitment yet, since they're doing the talk tomorrow. Although i'm spending every weekday of this month being trained personally by a successful hedge fund manager (who manages close to a billion dollars in assets), I still felt obliged to do more reading before I meet the traders tomorrow.

What i've been doin e moment i got home this afternoon.
In fact..i was already reading on the train...

In case u tink i'm readin some textbook..u'r wrong..text books almost get u nowhere in trading. I onli read materials and attend courses that are compiled by people who's been there and done that.

Thats where bulk of my money go to these days...

I was able to get my hands on materials from an options trading seminar conducted by a reputable german bank (not gonna reveal who n which organization i got it frm...in case trouble follows).

All of this..prob sounds boring...yeah maybe..to some..in fact most..

but everything is...so long as u've got no interest in it.

Apart from having interest n passion in trading...there are also other reasons y i strive so hard every single day to make sure i become a veri gd trader...

that day...i saw an old couple..walking by the road side..under e hot sun...n the old man..could barely walk...but still...they had to ride e bus...

another day..i saw an old grandmother...carrying groceries in many plastic bags...boarding e bus..n squeezing for a space to stand cos there were no more seats left...

sometimes..i see old couples dat could onli afford to eat plain bread with coffee for each meal at e coffee shops...

All these continuous events made me realise...that i have to make tonns n tonns of money...

to make sure that...my parents din have to walk under e hot sun..or even worse..the rain...jus to ride e bus when they're old.

i dun wan my mum to be squeezin in the bus..when she goes to the market when she's old....

when they're old n retired..they shud be able to eat nice things..n hav a good life...

i wan to be able to buy them a car...house...employ maids...take e load off them...

n to do that...u need money...

SMU is currently the best business school there is in Singapore (i heard this yr it was 1 in 12 or 14)...and some say the region too...

but dats not goin to guarantee u success...no degree, masters or PhD would. everything is from beneath...
