hectic first week

been unable to blog the past week as workload was unexpectedly heavy!..haha..i did not expect havin to discuss projs in the first week n much less make industrial contacts.thus yeah..sums up my lack of time...but it was fun though..i realli like it @ SMU..at least most of the things..

did the impossible!!
i participated in the financial treasure hunt..after being approached by the ever brilliant clarence..n i said ok on the spot..after lookin for a third member for a while..our team was born..

the competition was held all over s'pore..we had to race to so many places to answer finance qns..it was crazy..haha..from NUS..to SGX centre..to capital square to SMU..to NTU den bac to NUS..I nv had to tink abt financial qns when i'm still panting..haha..it was an experience we'll nv forget..Lol.. nonetheless..i had an amazin team..their knowledge were like an encyclopedia..notice i used the word 'they'. Cos i knew nth!..haha..

We finished the race as fast as we could..and waited for the prize ceremony..it felt like forever..lol..guests of honour late as usual..haha..but who could blame them?..afterall they were Mrs Lim Hwee Hua (Minister of state for finance and transport) and other key appointment holders from citibank and business times. sure they have busier schedules than me..haha..

the results were as follows:
1st Place : Team from NTU
2nd Place: Team from SMU(Freshmen Team!!)
3rd Place: Team from NTU

we didn't finish as high as we wanted...we were second!! haha yes yes..the freshman team was my team..kee kee kee...we beat 73 other teams including all our seniors..they were shell shocked..hehe..POLY EDUCATION IS ACTUALLY USEFUL!!(esp NYP)..haha..all 3 of us were from polys.

When it was time to take photos..they suggested that we do the iconic SMU jump..Lol..we tried..but our camera phones were too lousy for that..haha..seems like everytime we win something now..we’ll have to jump..haha..

finally after a few days of restin..i was able to start exercisin again..not supposed to exert myself(wisdom tooth)..Lol...macham pregnant women..went to e gym on fri morn...it was gd...haha...n i love the music they played there...all the hip hop n r&b stuff...great for workout..

muz make it an effort to hit the gym twice every week now..sobs...i used to be 8.4%!!...now it feels like 84%...haha..a grp of international students came to the gym for a campus tour..n walked past me like i was some manniquin that came with the machines..Lol..out of shape manniquin..

but too bad the machines were programmed to be used max for 30mins..cos i had to stop runnin b4 i was burnt out..haha..but it was cute though..cos Lynz was not used to talkin while runnin the treadmil..n i kept talkin to her..n each min she sounded weaker n weaker..like dyin any min..all the way till i cant hear her anymore..Lol..shud hav recorded it..

Circle Xperience: Evolution

Hey hey..u might notice..y i hav so many post in one day..Lol..been busy la..n every time i log into blogger..some error occurs..so..since todae's a fine blogger day..haha..mass entries!!..Lol..

Jus came bac from the teambuildin camp a few days ago..muz say i was a little reluctant to actively participate at first..felt a bit old..haha..but my group mates were great n they were veri funny..haha..dun tink i'll ever forget them either..thus cos of them..i drew my attention bac into the camp n tried to participate..

there were many new faces when i reached campus the 1st day morn..even though i met some of my groupmates for dinner b4 the camp..
n i was pretty surprised that onli the gals turned up that nite..

I can still rem the pathetic dory fillet i ordered at Marche which looked like some kind of appetizer..with a servin dat small..n when i got the food on the table..jane, inez, wanli and winnie were all starin at the plate n me... ... ...till i told them.. "i'm losing weight.."

thats where they all burst into laughter..Lol..but hey!..i am watchin my weight n fat intake..haha..dun call me vain now...

anyway...bac to the camp..it was a realli realli dirty one!!..i threw away my socks n shoes by the end of the camp..n the food was horrible..even by my non fussy standards..haha..but it was good fun though..kaiyakin..buildin rafts..we even finished 2nd in captain's ball tournament..not bad huh..haha..

but i realli liked the campfire night though..esp when the whole area was turned into a dance floor n everyone jus went wild..gonna include some pics later when i get my hands on them..haha..esp the shots of our face which we all ridiculously drew on each other.."she me shi shang?" Lol..ZZ in da house..

but i was realli caught by surprised though..when the emcee came over to ask me my name..n my initial reaction was "oh shit!" n dat echoed thru the mic..haha..cant believe he got me to go up n do some stupid dance..shy as i am..i tink i was veri well behaved on stage..haha..no alcohol also la..expect me to dance??Lol..

by end of the camp..i got tanner..which is wat i wanted..Lol..no callin me vain now!!..haha..but i realli made good frens at the camp..n i am mighty glad that i went for it and skipped SAF's camp..haha..fruitful as it reminded me of many life's values..n y i could join SMU from poly in da first place..

there were chartered buses there to bring us to various locations n i took the one headin towards AMK..n we were travellin on the TPE..n suddenly this ger onboard urged the driver to stop along the expressway..sayin her house is near..so she alighted..jumped over the barrier..and disappeared into the vegetation n started bashin.. !! ..haha we were all shocked..haha..they say smu students do diff things..but has it got to be this diff?..haha..

went out with ken and daniel after dat to grab some dinner..n den went home n got knocked out almost instantly..haha..

it was a slightly emotional day..n i muz say i will miss the days where my colleages n i hanged out in camp..playin soccer..n chattin..i wished i had more time to spend with my beloved troopers n sayin goodbye to them is always painful...they r the best colleages u could ever hav...esp at guard duties cos they're always so cooperative..

But still..i cant say dat i cant bear to leave that place though..cos it has held me bac in so many things..studies..career..love life..hell..even the chance of bein in a professional rock band..(missed out on joining summer's over)..who's album is alreadi out..but my guys who were with me in camp..will forever remain in my heart..yinghui..dayang..ryan..stevie..andy..roland (da dog)..everyone in my bunk..n also ding xiang..irving..ming yu n of cos LAO REN!! (kai xiong)..jason..so many to name..they r all bright young men..who i know will hav tremendous careers once they ORD..rem u said to invite me to ur ROM ding xiang..better keep ur promise..Lol..

Dun forget me when u guys turn civilian too..who knows we may end up doin biz together..u guys hav great potential..i will be bac again..though i dunno exactly when..but will be bac in camp to collect my pink IC..so..cya guys den!

OCS briefing...

first things first...for those NSF or NSmen out there readin this entry...OCS does not stand for Officer Cadet School..but it stands for Office of Career Services...a dept in SMU... - what did u tink???? - I re-enlist again?..Lol..i'm happy to remain a reconnaissance specialist.

I got to school by 8.30 on mon...when i slpt at 5..remarkable..but maybe i shouldnt have...cos it dragged till 9.30 to begin...as dat session was meant to be for int'l students..there were tonns of them at the conference hall dat morn..when i got to campus..i was greeted by the the helpers.. "WELCOME TO SINGAPORE!"... Lol...

I was welcomed 23 yrs ago people..haha...i smiled...n walked on..it was a pleasure though...meetin students from oversea..we hav ppl from china, india, vietnam, myanmar, thailand, sweden, malaysia..n i'm sure i missed some countries out..cos i remember there was one from the carribean.

the briefin started with an ice breaker where we spend about 5 mins introducin ourselves to ppl..."hi i'm from china..you're from?..."..."Singapore!" n they all gave me the same reaction.."What r u doin here den??!!" aiya...couldnt make it for the previous meetin ma..Lol..

inevitably..we ended up in an amazing race...we have an amazin race for almost every briefing...that is so amazin..Lol...n wats more amazin is that my team mates actually ran!!..they realli ran!..haha...n i'm like the onli local there..trailing at the back.."hey!..wait up!!"..Lol..over here...we CHILL!..or aka..Relac..

But hey! i'm grateful..cos we finished first..n got our hands on the so-called limited edition SMU leather portfolio which onli 200 r circulated in the whole of Singapore..Lol..when we heard it we were like..holdin our hands in our mouth.."wa..so prestige sia.." Lol..maybe that would mark the start of my winning ways in SMU..
(though i seriously doubt it..rofl)

I toured the campus after that..well..i love the view to say the least..haha..tink i can jus stare out of the window n dream...

school is gonna start in 2 weeks time..haven even gotten my timetable..but i hope i can cope..n i've onli got 2 modules exempted..liew..so niao...haha..signin off now..
