SMRT Ambassador | SCEP @ NTU

I turned up as promised n on time the following morn..super exhausted..super slpy..n had a super headache..
Loaded the stuff at SMRT's headquarters in city hall and den headed down to the roadshow location..NTU.

Yes..the very same NTU dat my marketing prof said "its nearer to go to JB from SMU than to go to NTU".

Our job as SMRT ambassador for this NTU roadshow was to get ppl to sign up to undergo training by SMRT on how to react in times of emergency.

A few of my frens from NTU asked.. "Which idiot will sign up sia.."

right now..abt 250 'idiots'.. from 2 days of work alone..

nv underestimate the convincing power of SMU ppl..lol..

Min min held on to my camera at the beginning..n i realized..she has a fetish for Rita..

She basically took non stop pics of her la..

N it doesnt end...

We headed down to Cafe by the Quad for lunch

After lunch..we headed down to Canteen A to check out the food. Cafe by the quads was the more expensive food in NTU..

When i got to Canteen A..i just had to take pictures of their price points..its so cheap..its like primary school man.
Every drink i buy in SMU...i can buy at least 5 in NTU..sigh..
With a budget of $2..you can get urself a decent meal with a drink..what else can you ask for?..

After we wrapped up on wed (1st day) i was so so so exhausted..i could almost slp while standing up. N god sent me my prayer for a bed when Ai jia happened to pass by my booth..becos she 'bon' her class.

n she's starting to build a reputation ard 'bonnin' class..

I took off n went for a 'mini tour' given by Ai Jia n her fren..who was navigating around with a NTU map..n STILL getting lost..sigh..

When we finally got to her hostel..it din take me long to fall aslp. N she just had to take pics of me slping..with MY OWN CAMERA!..grr...

I fell aslp while msging..my final strength used up..

And this is super exaggerating la! NTU ppl cant count..

The hostels in NTU have designated levels for guys and gals..and everytime i step out of her room..someone stares at me..with a '?' on their head..

After i realli did wake up..she was supposed to lead me from hall 4 to 6..where i'll be crashing into yet another hostel for the nite. i'm like hostel crashing..

din wanna go home..n have to travel bac again..afterall..NTU is what their locals call.. 'Boon-Lay-sia'. Its like another country on its own...

i had my 'Waikiki' (SMU event) singlet on while strolling down the streets..which..attracted lots of stares..lol..

n someone was soooo confident..of her way ard..dat she led me to.. .. ...no where..

n had to refer map again..

When i got to hall 6...i realized..ai wei's room was neat..for the first time ever!!

played with her new macbook n found that it was the ideal laptop for a musician. Was supposed to head down to Zouk with her frens..but decided to cancel..phew..i can get more slp..

I realli felt like an alien while walkin ard the ladies floor..in shower attire..

much to my dismay..my photos of me slpin..was taken again...with my own camera..again..

Yes i know..looks gd frm all angles..lol..

sigh..all these ppl..love to see me slp so much..tsk tsk..so much fetish..

It rained so heavily the following morn when i woke up..n NTU isnt really connected at all.

Plus..with the 'accurate directions' from ai wei..dat took me to all the wrong places..it took me like 40 mins to get to my booth. From early to late..

Overall..i found the hostel in NTU pretty cosy..n its so easy to fall aslp. Their hall life is pretty interesting as well..hall dinners n stuff. No wonder there are things such as 'ta-bao' blocks over there..ppl played too much..n failed exam..lol.

During these 2 days..i bumped into quite a number of frens..whom i haven met for ages..some i cant remember their names though..but they could remember mine..sigh..i'm super bad with names..

i'm probably going to do a local exchange in NTU..since it seems more relaxed (according to other SMU ppl dat has gone there for exchange). I wouldn't mind engaging in some hall activities..afterall..u hav to admit their hall activities r more happening than SMU's..

BUT..our campus life is much more interesting!..lol..

Bizcom Chalet | Supper

I was one of the latest to arrive at the bbq nite..simply becos i was aslp b4 that..Lol. Was too exhausted as i din slp the nite b4..n i spent the whole day discussing project and settling some admin stuff at smu..

thus when i woke up..it was already 7 plus pm..by the time i took a shower n drove down..it was abt 8.15. Fortunately..it was relatively easy to find.

I din realli intend to eat though..wasnt feeling hungry..But nonetheless i did..since..Min Min served me..lol..she was like in 'mama' mood dat day..servin ppl..

I was reluctant to engage in any sports since i was nicely showered b4 i left home...n thus..i did the next most obvious thing..

I left the chalet at abt 10 plus...cos i was meetin ze yan, michael and jenny for supper. But i din leave b4 i insisted that weiyuan (who was supposed to go supper as well) took a shower b4 we left..lol..he was all wet from soccer n i could not even entertain the thought of havin 'sweaty' smell in the car..lol..

After i dropped rina and ____________ <-- (i forgot her name..fill it in here)..i met up the gang at bedok central b4 heading down to simpang bedok..

To be honest..i still tink the prata at thompson is so much better..

After a long supper n chat..we left simpang bedok abt..1 plus 2. i was so sure i'm gonna be concussed the next day..have to report to smrt's headquarters at 8 am for yet another session of community service.

And i was rite man..

After sending everyone home..
62 km!! dats like longer than s'pore..
and it was only the return trip..

E second last day of Starringsmu was to help out in the NDP. As helpers of Starringsmu...we were all part of the biggest Singapore Flag (formed by umbrellas@ the padang) in history and were on national tv.

After the parade...cityhall area was so packed..it tookme 15 minutes just to leave the padang area...i realli felt like sardines.

After the NDP..i drove down to bedok to look up michael and ze yan for supper at simpang bedok..and wow..some areas of bedok are realli confusin man..lol..

Post NDP 'Lets Celebrate'

After the NDP..on friday..I had to help out at yet another CSP..this time..the SMU-SMRT Ambassador. (I'll be at NTU next Wed-Fri, 9am to 5 pm btw). And after the SMRT stuff..i popped by to 'Lets Celebrate' to check out e last day of starringsmu.

To my horror...they already had evil plans for me...

all thanx to the 'wonderful' team mates like cynthia who couldnt stop shouting my name n volunteerin me the moment i stepped into the hall..

n i was volunteered to play the role of a gay couple..
grr...I hope i'll be TA for her Financial Acct class..n i'll fail her every quiz.. =p

it was damn embarrassing man..how many hundreds of ppl there man..

sigh..lol..

nonetheless..i was sporty enuff to take up the role. No video footage will be provided. Ever.

I muz say that the starringsmu committee realli put in alot of effort to make the whole program a big success. It was a pity i missed the first 5 events and was only involved in the last 3 cos the first few events looked fun too!

The last part of 'Lets Celebrate' was potluck dinner...where we ate at the admin block's swimming pool area..staring across town..the night view..accompanied with lots of music and funny events..

I always loved looking out to the entire town area from there..

and there was even fireworks at china town area..not sure y..

too bad i din hav my camera with me.

Although i onli spent 2 and a half days with my starringsmu team mates (I onli knew weiyuan)..we somehow gelled pretty well..

well enuff to volunteer me..*pout*

haha.

we were in fact the last grp to leave the roof area..spending hours sittin at the ledge..chatting bout life..sch..n tons of other things..

n yes..it includes gossips..lol...

n "NO!" cynthia and kien te..SMU guys r not 'players'..i'm such a classic example.. =p

how innocent can..lol.

It was great talking to so many freshmen...though they always make me feel like i'm so old..esp the gals..comin in at tender age of 19...

But it was nice..

esp with ppl like farid..who cannot be any more vain and in love with himself..

sigh..

maybe i'll run for org comm for some CSP next summer..maybe group 13 ppl can go run it together..

but for now..

sch is gonna start soon..so we should all really enjoy as much of the remainin holidays as we possibly can..
